Region 2 Canterbury Calendar Project
Exciting things are on the horizon as we approach our Centennial Year, and we’d love for you to be a part of the celebrations! Region 2 - Canterbury is creating a “Special Dates Perpetual Calendar” to mark this milestone, and we’re inviting you to contribute.
We’re looking for photos, recipes, and handy hints that capture the spirit of Rural Women NZ and showcase the vibrant activities happening in your region. Here’s how you can get involved:
Birthday Cake Photos: We’d love to see your beautiful birthday cake creations. Please share a photo with us!
Rural Women Activity or Event: If you’ve got a great photo from a Rural Women activity or event in your region, we’d love to include it. Show us what we’re all about!
Recipe or Handy Hint: Do you have a favourite birthday cake recipe or a handy hint for rural life? We’d love to hear it.
Photo Submission Details:
Please send high-quality photos (minimum 1000KB).
We also ask for a short story or caption to go with your photo, and if there are people in the photo, please include their names.
By submitting your photo, recipe, or hint, you’re giving permission for it to be used in the calendar.
Our plan is to have the calendars printed at the start of our Centennial Year and offer them to each region at a bulk price. This gives regions an excellent opportunity to sell the calendars and raise funds to support ongoing activities and projects.
The “Special Dates Perpetual Calendar” will not only celebrate key moments from our 100-year history, but will also feature regional photos, some fun surprise images, and recipes and handy hints that will make this calendar a treasured keepsake for years to come.
We’d love for you to be part of this special project and share your local history, creativity, and community spirit with us!
Deadline for submissions is 1st May.
Please send your photos and recipes to francesbeeston@gmail.com
We can’t wait to see your contributions and celebrate our shared history together!
