RWNZ Creed

Keep us, O God, from pettiness; Let us be large in thought, in word, and deed.

Let us be done with fault finding and leave off self-seeking.

May we put away pretence and meet each other face to face without self-pity and without prejudice.

May we never be hasty in judgement and always generous.

Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene, gentle.

Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.

Grant that we may realise it is the little things that create differences; that in the big things of life we are one.

And may we strive to touch and to know the great human heart common to us all, and O Lord, let us not forget to be kind.

RWNZ Prayer

Oh God, who has made of one blood all nations of people.

Mercifully – receive the prayers that we offer for our anxious and troubled world.

Send your light into darkness and guide the nations as one family into the ways of peace.

Take away all hatred, prejudice and fear.

Strengthen in us day by day the will to understand, and to those, who by their counsels, guide the people of the world, grant a right judgement: that through them and us your will be done.

Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen

ACWW Song

This is my home, the country where my heart is;
Here are my hopes and dreams, my sacred shrine;
But other hearts in other lands are beating
With hopes and dreams as pure and true as mine.
Hear then my song O God of all the nations,
A song of peace for their land and for mine.
My country’s skies are bluer than the ocean,
And sunlit fields with clover and with pine,
But other lands have sunlight too and clover,
And skies are everywhere as blue as mine.
Hear then my song O God of all the nations,
A song of peace for their land and for mine.

RWNZ Song

From the near and distant farmlands
From the upland and the plain,
In community of spirit,
Let us share our work again.
In community … (repeat)

May we give and take good counsel,
May the work unto our hand,
Aid the countryside to prosper,
Ease the hardship of the land.
Aid the countryside … (repeat)

Not by ladders unto heaven,
Nor allegiance to a creed,
But by service simply given
Unto each in time of need
But by service… (repeat)

Let us think and pray for others
Absent far across the sea
May our hearts and voices mingle
In sweet love and sympathy
May our hearts … (repeat)

As we move towards the future
Rural Women strong and free
May we face up to each challenge
Wisely and courageously
May we face up … (repeat)
