One year on from the first Canterbury earthquake, Rural Women New Zealand will celebrate ‘Aftersocks Day’ on Friday 2 September to show its support for Cantabrians.
aftersocks™ have been a huge success since their launch in July, with tens of thousands of dollars raised for the Christchurch Mayoral Fund,” says RWNZ National President, Liz Evans.
On 2 September Rural Women New Zealand is urging all its
aftersocks™ customers to pull on a pair and to send in photos of where they get to in their socks.
Rural Women New Zealand members around the country will be hitting the streets selling
aftersocks™, making sure everyone around the country has a pair to wear.
Telecom is also coming on board to show their support for Rural Women New Zealand’s project, with its executive team donning their
aftersocks™, and encouraging their staff to buy a pair.
“They have invited us to sell our socks in their offices and call centres and we’ll be socking it to them!”
