A Rural Women Star We Will Remember

Isla Stuart McRae, CBE, JP, 1926-2011

Isla McRae was a true Rural Women star who will be remembered in Rural Women NZ history for many generations to come. She joined the organisation in 1960’s and was National President from  1987-1991. She was key in setting up the leptospirosis chair at Massey University, the national bush nursing service (now known as our company Access Home Health) and various other projects around the country.
